Principle
The operating principle of ultrasonic level instrument is that high-frequency ultrasound pulses transmitted by the transducer (probe) are reflected when meeting the dielectric surface to be measured, and part of the reflected echoes are received by the same transducer and converted into electrical signals. An ultrasonic pulse propagates at the speed of sound, and the time interval of transmitting and receving ultrasound pulses is proportional to the distance between the transducer and the dielectric surface to be measured. The relation between this distance value S, the speed of sound C and the transmission time T can be expressed using the formula: S = CxT/2. 
The transmitted ultrasonic pulses have a certain width that result in overlap of the reflected waves within a small area closer to the transducer with the transmitted waves, so it is impossible to identify them and measure its distance value. This area is called the blind zone. The size of blind zone is relates to the model of ultrasonic level instrument.

Feature
With advanced microprocessor and unique EchoDiscovery echo processing technology, the ultrasonic level instrument can be applied to various complex working conditions.
The “Virtual Echo Learning” function enables the instrument to correctly identify true echo in the working conditions where there are multiple virtual echoes to obtain correct measurements. 
The transducer has a built-in temperature sensor which can provide temperature compensation for the measured values.
With the best patented technology of acoustic matching, the ultrasonic transducer can radiate its transmitting power more effectively and improve signal intensity to achieve accurate measurements.
